LEVEL 3 AWARD IN HANDLING AND MANAGING HORSES IN EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING

This course provides the underpinning knowledge for the Level 3 Award in Handling and Managing Horses in Equine Assisted Learning. You may choose to attend the course without being assessed for the award.

There are face to face sessions as well as onine support for the course.

The Level 3 Award in Handling and Managing Horses recognises the importance of excellent horse awareness in equine assisted learning. and has been specially developed for those working with horses in this emerging industry.

It is the only qualification available specifically for horse professionals and others within equine assisted learning and was written by EAQ's Founder, Tricia Day. It is open to anyone who would like to learn more about ground-based horsemanship skills and is available throughout the year.

The mental and emotional well-being of the horses are important to us and so we help participants to increase their self awareness as well as their awareness of horse signals and how to interpret those signals.

You will have an opportunity to share video of your own horsemanship skills either by working with horses loose in a round pen or on a halter and lead rope.

You have access to the online course content for 12 months and can move along at your own pace with your own horses.

Feedback from previous students shows how differently they behaved around horses after they had completed the course.

“I thought I knew a lot about horses but this course has taught me to look at them in a completely different way.”
